By late 2025, health officials confirmed the successful completion of three years of preclinical trials for the mRNA-based vaccine, named Enteromix, which is designed to treat patients already diagnosed with the disease rather than preventing it.
The vaccine utilizes messenger RNA technology to deliver genetic instructions that train the patient’s immune system to recognize and attack specific tumor markers. Unlike chemotherapy, which impacts both healthy and diseased cells, this immunotherapy targets only cancer cells, which preclinical animal studies showed can reduce tumor growth by 60% to 80%.
A standout feature of the program is the use of artificial intelligence and neural networks to analyze a patient’s unique tumor data, allowing doctors to design and produce a customized vaccine in as little as one week. This speed is critical for aggressive cancers where traditional treatment windows are narrow, and it positions Russia as a major contender in the global $10 billion personalized medicine market.
