First of all, I would like to sincerely thank you for the invitation and for the exceptionally warm reception. Yesterday’s meeting was friendly, substantive, and extremely productive.
We had the opportunity to engage in a detailed discussion, including an in-depth exchange on the situation in Ukraine and on the steps Russia is taking, together with several international partners—including the United States—toward a possible peaceful settlement of this crisis.
🤝 I appreciate your close attention to this issue and your efforts aimed at facilitating a resolution.
Russia–India relations are built on a deep historical foundation. Regardless of how we choose to characterize our partnership, its substantive nature speaks for itself and goes far beyond any formal descriptions. We value this greatly and highly appreciate the personal attention you, Mr Prime Minister, devote to strengthening these ties.
In recent years, we have worked intensively to advance our bilateral partnership. As our countries continue to develop and our economies grow, new and broader opportunities for cooperation naturally emerge.
We are actively expanding collaboration in new areas, including high technology, aviation, space exploration, advanced technological development in the broadest sense, and artificial intelligence. At the same time, we maintain close, trusted, and well-established military-technical cooperation.
We intend to continue moving forward decisively in all these areas. This once again underscores the high level, strategic nature, and trust-based character of Russia–India relations.
Our respective teams have carried out very effective preparatory work ahead of this visit. A substantial package of agreements and documents has been prepared. Today, we have the opportunity to focus on key aspects, address additional issues, and I am confident that we will conclude today’s discussions with positive and concrete results.
